DAFC were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Pars fan, Bob Barkway.

After joining the RAF, Bob found himself relocating to Fife where he met local girl Joyce who would later become his wife. He was originally more of a rugby fan but took an interest in the Pars results from afar.

Bob attended his first match at East End Park in 2005 and has followed the Pars home and away, travelling with the Dunfermline Athletic Supporters Club where he had been a committee member and treasurer for many years, ever since.

In 2011 Bob volunteered as a turnstile operator but when the club entered administration in 2013, he joined the small group doing maintenance work around the stadium. He was an active member of the Pars Supporters Trust for 12 years.

Bob will be remembered by those who knew him as a gentleman and will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his wife Joyce and their two sons.
