On loan at Dunfermline from Celtic from January 2020 until Covid-19 caused end to the season

In January 2020 Dunfermline Athletic were delighted to welcome 20 year old Jonathan Afolabi on loan from Celtic.

The Irish U19 internationalist joined Celtic in August 2019 and they have agreed for young attacking talent to come to East End Park until the end of the season.

Dublin born, Jonathan Afolabi started off at St Joseph`s Boys AFC in Sallynoggin on the south side of Dublin. He subsequently came through the youth system at Southampton before coming north and agreeing a three year deal with the Scottish champions. It is reported that he made a big impression with his coaches at Lennoxtown.
