Ryan left at the end of the 2021-2022 after making 81 Dunfermline appearances and scoring 12 goals during his three seasons at East End Park.

In May 2019, Ryan was one of Stevie Crawford`s first signings for season 2019-20.

The Dundee born midfielder attended Harris Academy in the city, and was part of the school football team that won the Scottish Schools` Shield in 2005.

Initially attached to Dundee as a youth player, Dow joined Dundee United in 2005, going on to sign a professional contract in June 2007.

He made his debut with two appearances off the bench in the Premier League in May 2010. He went on to become a first team regular after a spell on loan to Forfar Athletic between March and May 2011. His starting debut was at Tannadice in September 2011 against Inverness Caley Thistle.

He had made 112 appearances before he left Dundee United in the 2016 and signed for Ross County in September. After over 50 appearances for the Staggies Dow moved to Peterhead during the 2018`“19 season, initially on loan.

After 32 appearances for the Blue Toon in which he scored five goals, Ryan moved to join Dunfermline Athletic.

When Ryan left at the end of the 2021-2022 he had made 81 Dunfermline appearances and scored 12 goals during his three seasons at East End Park.
