Dunfermline Athletic

Teams | Josh Falkingham

Midfielder who made 154 appearances between 2012 and 2016

Signed by Dunfermline in June 2012 and having scored on his league debut v Cowdenbeath, very quickly became extremely popular with the Pars fans. Nine yellow cards in his first season at East End Park suggest his 100% effort and great tenacity caused many problems for opponents. After the Club went into administration in April 2013 Josh took over the captain`s armband since at the age of just 22 he was one of the most senior players in the squad.

Josh was signed from Arbroath and as playmaker was integral to the success at Gayfield over his two seasons there. Immensely popular with the Lichties fans for his silky passing and gritty determined style.

He spent 11 years at Leeds United before being released in 2010. After a short spell at St Johnstone the midfielder joined ex Saint, Paul Sheerin at Arbroath where he won the Scottish Third Division Player of the Year in his first season. Falkingham played 67 times for the Lichties, netting 17 times.

Josh started 23 of the Pars 36 League One matches in the 2015-2016 title winning season but left at the end of that season.
