Dunfermline Athletic

Teams | Jackson Longridge

Jackson was almost ever present for Dunfermline in his one season at East End Park. He scored five goals in his 41 appearances for Dunfermline and only one of those was as substitute.

Jackson is the younger brother of Louis Longridge. He started off at Hillwood Boys Club before moving on to St Mirren. Ayr United were his first professional club and manager Brian Reid gave him his first professional start in April 2012 against Dundee.

After three seasons at Somerset Park and just nine appearances he moved on to Stranraer where he was promised regular first team starts. In season 2014-2015 he made 41 starts and 5 appearances as a sub. That was a springboard for a move to Livingston for the following season.

David Hopkin was appointed manager in the summer of 2016 and together they won back t9 back promotions taking Livingston from League One to the Premiership.

Jackson made a big call in the summer of 2018, choosing to remain in the Championship by joining Dunfermline Athletic on a two year deal. However one year on DAFC agreed terms with Bradford City for the transfer of Jackson.

A number of EFL clubs had made offers for Jackson and everyone at East End Park was naturally disappointed to see the popular defender leave, but he left with our very best wishes, deserving of his opportunity to ply his trade south of the border.
