Ethan was on loan to Dunfermline from Aberdeen from January 2020 until the season came to an end due to Covid-19

On 3rd January 2020 Aberdeen`s young midfielder Ethan Ross joined Dunfermline on loan until the end of the season. He made his Dunfermline debut next day in the 1-0 home defeat to Ayr United.

Ethan started one first team game for Aberdeen against Hibs in October 2019 and has made six appearances off the bench.

He joined Aberdeen as a ten year old worked his way up through the club`s youth system starting in the under 11s.

At the age of 14, Ethan made his debut for the Development side against Ross County, playing alongside Scott McKenna back in 2016. Attending the SFA Performance School prepared him for life as a professional and he went on to subsequently captain their Under-18 side.

The eighteen year old has been capped for Scotland eight times at under 17 level, twice at under 18 and four times at under 19.

After Ethan was named the 2018/19 Development Player of the Year at the annual AFC Awards Dinner he signed a new two year contract keeping him at Aberdeen until the summer of 2021.

Those who have watched Ethan`s progress at Aberdeen describe him as confident, assured, driven to succeed and most importantly is a very good football player.

Ethan is the younger brother of Seb Ross who is also on the books at Pittodrie.
