James Vincent arrived on loan from Dundee on 29th January 2018 and then returned in July 2018 on a season long loan.

Having been spotted at Glossop Juniors, James started his career with Stockport County then Kidderminster Harriers before Terry Butcher took him north to Inverness in 2013.

In his second season at Inverness Caley Thistle he helped the club create history under new manager John Hughes. In the 2015 Scottish Cup final against Falkirk, the Highlanders went down to ten men just three minutes after James came on as sub. In the dying seconds James made history for the club and himself a legend striking the winner to lift the William Hill Scottish Cup.

Dundee snapped up the midfielder on a pre-contract in 2015, where he made 37 league and cup appearances.
