Following the departure of John Hughes, James McPake was appointed as First Team Manager on 24 May 2022.
James McPake was appointed manager of Dunfermline Athletic on 24th May 2022.
Following a successful playing career with clubs in England and Scotland, James launched his coaching career at Dundee FC`s Academy before becoming First Team Manager in 2019.
James McPake played 254 senior matches at Livingston, Morton, Coventry City, Hibs and Dundee and once for Northern Ireland in 2012.
He retired from playing football in January 2018, and then started his coaching career in the Dundee youth system. He was appointed as the senior team manager in May 2019, and held this position until February 2022.
McPake led Dundee to promotion to the Scottish Premiership by winning through the Premiership play offs. At the end of that 2020-2021 season, he was awarded the SPFL Scottish Championship Manager of the Year.
