Paul McGowan, signed on loan from Dundee, from 21st February 2023 until the end of the season. He made his Dunfermline debut as a sub in the match v Queen of the South the following Saturday and would make 11 appearances in James McPake`s League One title winning side.
Paul came through the Celtic youth system and had loan spells with Morton, Hamilton and St Mirren.
He made his Celtic debut at the age of 19 before going on to gain experience in Europe in both the Champions League and the Europa League.
Following his release from Celtic he signed with St Mirren permanently in the summer of 2011 winning the Scottish League Cup with them in 2013 before Paul Hartley took him to Dundee in June 2014. He went on to captain Dundee making 302 appearances for the Dens Park club
