A very skillful inside forward, he was famous as part of the Hearts “Terrible Trio†of the late 1940s and 1950s and achieved International honours for Scotland even though he had been born one mile over the border in England.
He joined the Pars in 1959 towards the end of his career for a fee of £2000. He retired in 1961.
