A former schoolboy and junior international who spent three seasons playing in the North American Soccer League, Jimmy Warden returned to win a Second Division championship medal with Third Lanark in 1931 and a Scottish League cap two years later.
He may have been at the veteran stage when he joined Dunfermline but he brought a wealth of experience to East End Park and proved his durability during a run 61 consecutive top-flight appearances. Small in stature, Jimmy was an intelligent and resourceful defender who was released on the club`s relegation in 1937.
