A competitive midfielder, with a knack of scoring vital goals. Also noted for being a dead ball specialist with goals throughout his career.

He joined from St Johnstone in 2011. He was a member of the First Division winning side, famously scoring two goals in the title deciding match against the wee team from Kirkcaldy.

A legend in his own lifetime at Dunfermline. A physical but talented playmaker, Martin Hardie was a combative midfielder with an eye for goal. His eight goal scoring streak in his last eight matches of the 2010-11 season helped propel his side ahead of rivals Raith Rovers at the top of the First Division.

The experienced and much travelled 35 year old has suffered with injuries in recent years, but when fully fit Martin is a player who has the presence and ability to dominate matches.

His story is one of a player who has worked his way up through the leagues. After starting relatively late at the age of 20 with Queens Park and then East Stirlingshire, his performance caught the attention of Partick Thistle. He spent three seasons at Firhill, in which time he scored 29 goals in 104 appearances as the Jags won back-to-back promotions, before moving on to Kilmarnock, Airdrie United and the St Johnstone.

His 2010-11 season began with a spell back at Partick Thistle, bit in February 2011 Pars gaffer Jim McIntyre made the inspired decision to snap up the Alexandria-born midfielder to bolster his side`s title challenge.

He left to join Morton in July 2012.
