Clark was a highly-rated centre-half with Rutherglen Glencairn who made nineteen top-flight appearances during his one season with Kilmarnock.
Although he wasn`t tall for his position, he was an excellent header of the ball and just as courageous on the deck, capable of holding his own against most opponents. He also proved to be a constructive player and a good passer of the ball as he helped the Pars lift the Second Division title in 1926.
Jimmy pursued his football career while studying at Glasgow University to become a school teacher.
