Jimmy Cannon was a clever ball player and a willing worker whose distribution brought the best out of those around him.
This was never truer than when George Henderson was at centre forward but he also struck up a good understanding with winger Gerry Mays during his first two seasons at East End.
His keen eye for goal saw him establish a good average and help the Pars reach their first major final, the 1949 League Cup Final. Died 26 January 1991.
