Jim Will was a goalkeeper who began his career with Arsenal but never made a first team appearance, despite playing three times for Scotland at U-21 level.

He played for Scotland U16`s in 1989 World Cup final v Saudi Arabia, losing out 5-4 on penalties. Will won the player of the tournament award, having only conceded three goals in the competition.

On leaving Arsenal, Jim played a handful of times for Dunfermline Athletic in season 1994-95. He became a police officer in Grampian and turned out in the Highland League for his home town side of Turriff United and also Deveronvale. He concluded his career by playing a couple of times for Peterhead in season 2007-08, aged 35.
