After Alloa were promoted, he moved full time with Hearts.
In mid-season 1984-85 the Pars were having a defensive crisis and picked him up on his return from Brisbane City in Australia. He played three league games featuring two draws and a win. He left to join Stenhousemuir.
He returned to Brisbane City in 1986, where he would finish his career.
