Signed in 1964 from Lochore Welfare, Ian was a very able player but could not compete with the prodigious Pars forwards of the time. No doubt with another club or at another time he would have been a first team regular.
He remained a reliable stand in if any forward was injured. He moved on to Falkirk in 1968. Sadly died aged 34 in 1982 whilst manager of Brora Rangers.
