In October 94 Fleming signed from Meadowbank Thistle in a cash plus swap player deal. He quickly established his place in the team and helped in reaching the premier league play offs against Aberdeen in his first season.
The following season he played a huge part in helping the club win the League in what was an emotional time following the loss of Norrie McCathie.
In the early stages of the 1997/98 season he moved to Dundee in a swap deal that saw George Shaw move in the opposite direction. He played for various clubs before being employed as player coach at Linlithgow Rose.
