The former Scotland U21 defender played for Aberdeen from the age of 15 before going down south.
Signed for the Pars 2005/06, after leaving Doncaster Rovers. DAFC reportedly paid a six figure sum for him to return to Scotland. He scored 2 goals and featured in the 2007 Scottish Cup Final v Celtic.
Phil McGuire signed a two year deal with Dunfermline just prior to getting on the plane to jet off to Holland for the 2006 pre season tour. He originally hails from Glasgow but brought up in Dundee, signed for Dunfermline from Doncaster Rovers where he had been based since July 2005.
