On 15th August 2025 Dunfermline Athletic signed defender Robbie Fraser from Rangers FC for an undisclosed fee. Robbie joined on a 3 year deal.
Fraser brings a wealth of experience despite his 22 years having progressed through the Rangers Academy system after joining as a seven-year-old in 2010. The defender captained Rangers B team and made his first-team debut under Philippe Clement in May 2024, coming off the bench in a memorable 5-2 victory over Dundee.
His rapid development continued with his UEFA Europa League debut against Tottenham Hotspur in December 2024, showcasing his ability to perform on the biggest stages. Fraser has also represented Scotland at Under-21 level, making his debut against Iceland in November 2022 and earning his starting debut in a goalless draw away to Hungary a year later.
The versatile defender`s journey through the Rangers system saw him sign professional terms in May 2023, followed by a contract extension until 2026 just a year later.
The 22-year-old full-back joins the Pars after an impressive loan spell at Livingston last season, where he established himself as a key player with 23 appearances, 19 of which came as starts. That loan spell at Livingston provided valuable first-team experience in the Scottish Championship, where his consistent performances as a left wing back caught the attention of clubs across the country.
