On 3rd February 2025 Bristol City`s 21 year old midfielder Omar Rivaldo Taylor-Clarke joined Dunfermline on a permanent deal until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Omar was born in Newport, Wales to Welsh and Caribbean parents. Having started at the Cardiff City Academy he moved to join Bristol City at under 13 level. In September and October 2019 Omar made three appearances for Wales U17s and the Bristol City Academy graduate signed a professional contract there in October 2022. He made his Bristol City debut in the FA Cup tie against Swansea City on 17 January 2023 in between loans to Yate Town and Weston-super-Mare. After five substitute appearances for the Robins, Omar got his start in the Championship match on 19th March 2023 also against Swansea City. In total he has made nine appearances for Bristol City.
Omar was the second young player to arrive from Bristol City in the January transfer window. Ephraim Yeboah has also come from City.
Omar was given the middle name of Rivaldo due to his father`s admiration for the Brazilian World Cup winner in 2002 of the same name.
