Hamilton joined from St Johnstone as a 30 year old was almost an ever-present for the next two seasons with the team finishing third and second in the league.
At the end of the second season Ian Westwater rejoined and Hamilton found himself on the bench towards the end of the season. At the end of that season he joined Portadown. He went on to be goalkeeping coach at East Fife.
