Justin was a defensive midfielder signed by Jimmy Calderwood in 1999 from Hibs. He made his debut in a league game at Livingston on 4th September 1999 when the Pars won 1-0. He made 90 league appearances but failed to score in any of them. His final appearance for Dunfermline was away to Celtic in a heavy 5-0 defeat on the 13th April 2002. He eventually left in 2002 to join Brechin.
He had been a steady scoring player as a youngster, he started his career at Fulham in 1986 and scored 23 times in 135 league games. In 1991 he moved to Bristol Rovers and scored 12 times in 187 league matches over 7 years. He was temporarily on loan at Walsall in 1997 but only managed one goal in ten, before returning to Bristol and then transferring to Hibs in 1998.
At Easter Road the goals began to dry up, he only managed two in 32 league games and one more in the league cup.
