An accomplished midfield player with great ball control, Jamie Dolan spent ten years with Motherwell where he played for 10 years, making 193 appearances and scored 5 goals.
Notably, he even played in goal for the last 30 minutes in a game against Celtic when the keeper, Scott Howie, was taken off injured. Although he conceded 1 goal, Motherwell went on to a heroic 2-1 victory in the last minute.
Dolan moved to Dundee United, in a swap deal for Owen Coyle, where he spent 2 years before joining the Pars in February 1999.
Jamie played 33 games for Dunfermline over just under a season and a half before moving on to Livingston in July 2000. After a loan period with Forfar he then finished his senior career at Partick Thistle, retiring in 2002 having played over 300 league games in total.
Thereafter he spent 4 years as player-manager of Junior team Broxburn Athletic and also played for Bathgate Thistle.
Sadly died of a heart attack, aged 39, on 31 August 2008.
