Graeme came through the Dundee United youth system having been with the Tannadice club since his time as an under 14 player. He went full time when Alex Smith was manager and made his Premier League debut for the club in April 2004 and his time in Dundee saw him make only a handful of appearances as a substitute. He had a spell on loan to Dumbarton in 2004/05 though frequent changes at management level with Dundee United saw regular changes in playing staff.
Looking for regular first team football he joined Airdrie in November 2005 making his debut against Queen of the South in December 2005 when the Diamonds won 4-0. After featuring 6 times as a substitute, he made his first start for his new club against Clyde in January 2006.
A talented midfield player standing 5ft 9in, comfortable with the ball at his feet and a real turn of pace he gets beyond the forwards and has added goalscoring to his CV. Graeme made 87 appearances for Airdrie scoring five times in the SFL.
Graeme played only 40 minutes in Austria pre season. Having been out injured he returned as a sub v Peterhead in August but required surgery on his back that put his Pars career on hold.
