Ewan Otoo played in eleven matches while on loan from Celtic from February 2023 until the end of the season. Following a serious hamstring injury to Rhys Breen, Ewan formed a central defensive partnership with Kyle Benedictus and played every minute of the Pars final eight League One matches.
The 20 year old defender, who can play on the left side or in central defence, impressed against Dunfermline for Celtic B in the SPFL Trust Trophy back in November 2022.
Ewan was eight years of age when he first joined Celtic and came through the youth system to be offered a professional contract in June 2019 at the age of sixteen.
In 2021 while on loan Ewan made fifteen appearances for Clyde, all but two were starts. The Bully Wee manager at the time, Danny Lennon was reported to have been very impressed with the young player.
Ewan is the captain of Celtic B and has started virtually all their games this season. He has played for Scotland at youth level but also qualifies to represent Ghana.
Made his Dunfermline debut as 32nd minute sub in the 4-3 win away to Airdrieonians on 11th February 2023.
