Dunfermline signed Aberdeen defender Dylan Lobban on loan on 14th August 2026. The 20-year-old will spend the season at East End Park after previously being farmed out to Formartine United, Forfar Athletic and Cove Rangers.
The Scotland U17 and U19 cap will help strengthen Neil Lennon`s options on the right side of the Fifers defence.
Lobban will compete with Shea Kearney for the wing-back slot in Lennon`s currently-preferred 3-4-1-2 formation. However, the youngster also presents a more defensive choice should the gaffer switch to a flat back four.
Lobban spent the later half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Forfar, making four starts in eight appearances for the Loons.
He then made 33 outings for Cove the following season before playing 19 times for Aberdeen 2025-26.
Earlier in the 2026-27 season the native Aberdonian started against Brora Rangers and Kelty Hearts. However, it was decided a loan move was the best next step for the player, who is contracted at Pittodrie through to summer 2028.
Lobban made his Dunfermline debut against Ross County on 15th August. Dylan`s season long loan has a January recall option from Aberdeen.
