A South African discovered by Clyde on a tour to that country, Dougie Wallace won a Scottish Cup winners` medal in 1939 and was a prolific scorer in wartime football.
Signed from Clyde in 1946 and scored all four goals in a 4-0 win over Ayr on his debut. Not long into his stay there were disciplinary issues and despite his scoring record he moved on to Albion Rovers in 1948.
Died 25 September 1999, Sefton, England, ashes in family tomb at Ballingry, Fife.
