Declan O`Kane comes from Musselburgh where he attended St Davids High School. Played with Celtic, Hearts and Scottish Schoolbys. The 18 year old centre midfielder / striker stood out in a friendly against Musselburgh Windsor and after a successful trial joined Dunfermline season 2011-12.
Declan joined the second year Under 19s to play in the U20s league in 2012-2013 as the Club tried to fast track young potential into the first team squad. He was a sub in the 2013 SFA Youth Cup Final and was made U20s captain for the following season. With the Club short of central defenders Declan was used in that position in the under 20s for all of 2013-2014.
Made his first team debut v Airdrieonians on 18th January 2014 when he replaced the injured Callum Morris.
Left at end of 2014-2015 season and won a contract for the following season at East Fife.
