An inside forward who could score goals. He was part of a swap deal which brought Alex Ferguson from St Johnstone to East End Park in June 1964.
Dan signed for the Pars in October 1960 from Bellshill Athletic. He played at EEP until the end of June 1964, when he was transferred to St Johnstone, in a player swap deal which saw Alex Ferguson come to Dunfermline.
He made his debut against Raith Rovers in January 1961, and went of to make 43 first team appearances, including 3 in the Inter City Fairs Cup. During his time with the Pars he scored 8 goals.
Dan played in three (First Round, Semi-Final and Final) of the eight ties in the winning 1961 Scottish cup run.
