On 2nd February 2016 Craig Reid was signed until the end of the season 2015-16. The 29 year old was released the previous day by Motherwell and Allan Johnston moved quickly to sign Craig who played alongside him at Queen of the South. Craig has played for Scotland at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.
Loaned out to St Mirren in October 2015 he played 6 matches for the Buddies. He was recognisable to Pars fans since he has played in sixteen matches against Dunfermline including all four of Morton`s league matches in season 2012-13, all four against Queen of the South in 2010-11, and one League Cup and three league games in 2009-10, two league games in 2008-09.
Craig began his career with Celtic but like so many youths a successful time with the Hoops youth and reserve set up didn`t translate to a first team career at Parkhead. A product of Ardrossan boys club TASS Thistle, Craig was at Celtic for five years.
During season 2007-08 Reid was loaned to First Division Stirling Albion and on 1st September 2007 he made his senior debut in a 3-3 draw with Livingston. Reid played in 13 league matches during his time at Forthbank Stadium including two against Dunfermline.
In July 2012 Craig moved to Greenock Morton on a one year deal where he played his part in their promotion push. In the end the Cappielow side finished runners up to Partick and Reid left at the conclusion of his contract.
When Motherwell found themselves short of cover at right back, Stuart McCall went back for the now unattached Reid to sign him on a deal to close of the 2013-14 campaign. Craig`s reward for those fine few months in claret and amber was a two year contract with at Fir Park.
Craig played most of his games as a right back but could cover in central defence as well. He was released at the end of the 2015–16 season having made 13 appearances for Dunfermline.
