Brian Reid played as a centre-back for Dunfermline Athletic between 1999 and 2001.

Born in Paisley in June 1970, Brian Reid started his career with Morton from where Graeme Souness signed him for Rangers in 1991. The young centre-back`s career at Ibrox was hampered by a cruciate ligament injury and, after a brief loan spell at Newcastle, he returned to Morton in 1996.

After two seasons at Cappielow he joined Burnley for 1998-99 and the Pars signed him from the Lancashire club on a free transfer in August 1999. He made a scoring debut in a 4-0 home win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 7 August 1999. After the club gained promotion to the Premier League he only played 2 games the following season and was loaned to Blackpool, a move which subsequently became permanent.

After two years there he returned to Scotland to play for Falkirk, Queen of the South and Ayr United where he was appointed manager in 2007. On leaving Ayr in 2012 Reid managed in the Philippines and finally at Nuneaton before leaving in September 2014. Brian Reid made 29 appearances for the Pars and scored 3 goals.
