The English youngster joined the Pars on a two year deal at the end of May 2019. He made one start in the League Cup win over Clyde in November 2020.
Matthew was part of Middlesbrough and Hull City`s youth academy, but left Hull City at his own request to accept a two year bursary award offered to him by Repton School in Derbyshire, which allowed him to complete his A levels and be involved in their excellent football programme.
He was a star performer in the English Independent Schools Team, which is a very accomplished group of players for their age. He captained his age group.
Matty went out on loan on 31 January 2020 to Northern Premier club Pickering Town until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
