Signed in August 2018 on loan from Hearts. Made 12 appearances and scored four goals.
Keena was suffering an injury when first signed and did not make his debut until 20th October as a sub. On 30th October he made his starting debut scoring twice in a 2-2 draw with ICT. He played regularly until jan 2019 scoring a further two goals when Hearts recalled him early from his loan period because of injury problems.
Aidan from Mullingar in Westmeath has previously played for St Patrick`s Athletic in the Irish Premier Division and Queen`s Park. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17 and Under-18 level.
Returned to Hearts on 15th January.
Aidan made his St Patrick`s Athletic debut at the age of 17 in February 2017 when coming on as a sub midway through the second half in the opening match of the League of Ireland season.
Jon Daly discovered Aidan in Dublin and that led to him joining Hearts. He signed a three year deal at Hearts in August 2017. After impressing first team staff with his goalscoring form for the reserves, the 18 year old was called up to the first team and made his debut as a late substitute in a 1–1 draw v Partick Thistle at Tynecastle on 19 November 2017.
Keena was loaned to Scottish League One club Queen`s Park in January 2018. He started 15 matches and came on as a sub once while scoring 8 goals for the Glasgow side.
