Signed in 1950 from Royal Albert, Stewart`s rise to fame was meteoric. Before the end of his first season with the Pars East Fife had posted a transfer offer of £5300, no small amount in those days, and Dunfermline were happy to accept.
Jackie became a legend at Bayview and along with Henry Morris and Charlie Fleming made East Fife one of the best teams in Scotland, finishing twice in third place and lifting the League Cup for the third time.
