Craig Robertson is best remembered for taking over the captaincy after Norrie McCathie`s tragic death in 1996, leading the team to the First Division title.

In 1987, Jim Leishman paid £25,000 to Raith Rovers to bolster his first Premier League team at Dunfermline and Craig didn`t disappoint. He scored 13 goals in 1987/88; despite Dunfermline`s relegation he was the highest scoring midfielder in Scotland. He moved to Aberdeen in 1988 but returned in 1991.

Craig`s playing career ended in 1998 after 321 appearances, of which 280 were in league matches - the 9th highest in the club`s history. He returned to the club in a coaching role in 2003 and briefly as Assistant Manager to Jim Leishman in 2005.
