A young goalkeeper, signed from Camelon as reserve to Bent Martin and Willie Duff. Made his debut and only game for The Pars in August 1968 a 3-0 defeat in the League Cup away to Clyde. Went back into Junior Football with Linlithgow Rose, at the end of the season.

In 1970, he got back into Senior Football when he signed with Stenhousemuir and established himself as first choice. After a wonder performance against Rangers, they signed him in 1973. He played well over 100 games for Rangers and made the National Team in 1975, gaining 5 caps.

He left in 1980 for Forfar Athletic and was virtually ever present for The Loons over an 11 year spell, with well over 300 appearances.
