A talented midfielder and Republic of Ireland U17 international. Joined Dunfermline in 2002 from Irish side Waterford United.
On 3rd August 2002 he scored on his debut at Parkhead and went on to win Young Player of the Year at the club. He was a member of the 2004 Cup Final side.
When manager Jimmy Calderwood left to manage Aberdeen in 2004, he arranged for Gary`s transfer to Pittodrie.
