Greg joined the DAFC Youth Initiative as a 14 year old, playing for the Under 15s and progressing on to Under 17 level.

Made his first team debut v Kilmarnock at home Saturday 20th November 2004. In so doing he became the youngest ever player, at 17 years and 202 days, to start a Premier League match for Dunfermline.

Greg didn`t break the all-time record which is famously held by Alex Edwards who was fielded by Jock Stein at the age of 16 years and 5 days. Nor does he break the Pars record for the youngest to play in a Premier League match - that accolade goes to Andy Grant who came on as a sub for the Pars against Falkirk on 11th March 1992, aged 17 years and 61 days.

Greg beat the previous record for starting an SPL match, a record that was created in 2003-04 when Craig Wilson started the match against Dundee United on 17th April 2004.

Greg is one of only seven players under the age of 18 to play for Dunfermline in the Premier League. To above three add Colin Nish 17 years 328 days v Rangers 7th February 1999; Andy Williamson 17 years 338 days and Chris McGroarty 17 years 358 days and Nick Phinn 17 years 171 days.

Regular in season 2006-07 but missed the Scottish Cup final and the U20 World Cup in Canada because he required a knee operation. Made only one appearance in 2007-08 v St Johnstone in January but recurrence of his injury kept him out. Missed the beginning of the next season as well and match against Partick Thistle on 18th October 2008 was his first start. Went on to make just ten starts in 2008-09.

Despite playing in 30 matches in 2009-10 he was released at end of that season, 93 starts, 29 appearances off the bench, 2 goals including a famous match winner at Celtic Park.

Last goal: v Airdrie United 04/04/09
