Pre-season friendly: Kieran Millar (36) 1-0: Scott Shepherd (62) 2-0.
The first pre-season friendly was played on a cool and windy Friday evening at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium. Dick Campbell`s East Fife side provided the opposition as James McPake gave all his fit players 45 minutes. Dunfermline fielded two entirely different elevens in each half including four trialists since the priority was to get players minutes as soon as possible.
Kieran MILLAR scored the first goal for East Fife after 36 minutes with a shot that flew passed Deniz Mehmet into the top left hand corner of the net. The goal came from a throw in on the left flicked on by Jess Norey for Pat Slattery to lay off for the goalscorer to finish from 25 yards out. The Pars best chance in the first half came from 18 year old Ewan McLeod, his effort fizzing past the post just before half-time.

All change for the second half with a completely different Pars eleven taking on a much changed East Fife XI. There was an early break down the left by Taylor Sutherland that picked out Kane Ritchie-Hosler in front of goal but unfortunately this effort was defended. The hosts scored a second goal after 62 minutes, a loss of possession just inside the East Fife half leading to Scott SHEPHERD grabbing the chance to slot the ball past the Pars trialist keeper. 2-0
Matty Todd was taken off with a shoulder injury after 70 minutes with the Pars having fielded all their substitutes, playing the last twenty minutes with 10 men. Andrew Tod broke through the East Fife defence to release a low shot on goal from the right side but the ball went wide left. Taylor Sutherland also created a chance with a low cut back that went across the six yard box.
